Rolling in the Hay

I was compelled to continue this assault on sophisticated taste.  The "love" scene between Father Ralph and Meggie....which contains I believe, every Hollywood romance cliche....lovers running to each other on the beach, kissing in the water, pillow talk, the sunset falling behind the silhouetted lovers, you know all that good stuff.  I'm told this

I always thought it was the forbidden love thing that made the whole thing (and Chamberlain with it) so attractive.

Upon several more viewings I've decided I was too rash in my dismissal of Chamberlain. Now I've transferred my disappointment to Rachel Ward, and renewed my objection.
