So. In Avatar fandom news, I have become a mod at capslock_zutara. THIS IS NOT A COM FOR KIDDIES! Or for anyone on my f-list with propriety or taste, so I warn you ahead of time.

(Oh, and note to those who may be lurking on my journal, I do *not* take ship wars seriously!)

#2 - Nah, I'm pretty sure she ships Rin/Sess. ; ) : p That's her OTP. BUT she likes Zutara too... like in the scene in the crystal catacombs, Zuko made Katara look so incredibly young with the way his older face contrasted with her super!young face. So Zutara is probably her second favorite ship!

#3, #5 - Did you get permission from zoesque to use that? I assume so... but... just checking.

#4 - I SHOULD MAKE AN ICON LIKE THAT, EXCEPT ABOUT LIKE THE EPIC OF GILGAMESH OR THE GOLDEN ASS OR SOMETHING *INSERT TOTALLY IRRELEVANT FICTION HERE.*

They didn't take too long. About an hour, all told (I did them while watching tv).

#2 -- Just to prove I'm capable of making fun of my own ships, I'm using an icon that I made a loooong time ago. ;)

#3 & 5 -- Er, no. I didn't. (Didn't know that s/he made it, I grabbed the icon out of some post in the Maiko comm. Do you think that the person would be offended that I used it? I never know how seriously to take these things.)

Well, quite frankly I find people's personal bug-a-boos about "don't you dare touch/use my icon!" a bit silly, as we ALL steal show artwork that is not ours in order to make them. Speaking as someone who has seen her icons taken without permission or credit, I'm always gratified when people DO give me credit but I try not to let it get to me when they don't.

Still, principles aside, I don't care to risk having somebody go into a rage over something as inconsequential as this. It's easier just to pull those two down, which is what I'll do.

I'll admit first off that I'm not a big shipper in this show. There's no way I can swallow Mai/Zuko though. It was cuter when it was kinda one-sided. Now it's just an awkward angsty mess.

And heeeeeyyyyy... I kinda like Kataang. Although I don't feel any ships yet though. These icons are funny. ^^

I find Maiko in its present form to be--for the most part--shallow, callow, and incredibly self-absorbed. But that's typical of many teenage romances, so I can't say that it's poor writing--yet. ;)

And heeeeeyyyyy... I kinda like Kataang. Although I don't feel any ships yet though. These icons are funny. ^^

No rock tossing here! XD Azula and Zuko have had more chemistry this season than any other Avatar couple!

(Though Toph's crush on Sokka has been sweet, funny, and poignant.)

I, too, love what they've been doing with Katara this season. She's gotten stronger, more mature, and morally complex. Have you seen episode 3.08 ("The Puppetmaster") yet? If you like Katara, you are going to like...

I'm glad that they finally gave Toph a little development last episode. She hasn't been too prominent in Season Three as of yet.

(And I hear you on the Maiko. UGH. How much longer are we going to have to sit through this? :P)

I'm still in awe that the Shikon is finally complete. It's only taken, what eleven or twelve years? We really are heading into the finally stretch.

I am happy that Kohaku will live. :) For a long time I was sure that he'd be toast, but Kikyou's action to save him shows how much her soul had healed and bitterness abated before she died.
