I love kittens, I just don't to take care of them (beyond the feeding, snuggling, and loving)...or pay a huge pet deposit. ouch.

The vet bills are the worst part.

Cats are pretty low maintenance, although the cleaning up side of care has its moments. Like a morning two days ago, when my alarm went off and I swung my bare foot out of the bed and stepped right into a puddle of cold cat-yak on my wood floor. XP

You are. When I first saw them, I got the idea that Woody Allen and his woman were supposed to be Sessh and Rin.

I sure do love the gifties. The kittens are beyond cute but the mother in me immediately thinks,fleas!

When I brought my fluffball home (as a dusty six week old kitten) she was covered in fleas. I was living with an aunt at the time, and those fleas infested the entire house, including my aunt's crotchety older cat. Took us about two months of powders, sprays, flea collars, and flea bombs to get rid of the things. I hear that Advantax (sp?) works wonders now.

My grandma swears by putting 2-4 drops of vinger in their cat food. I'm not sure if it works, but her cats have never, ever had fleas.
