Well, here's Chapter 21. It's kinda character-y and not so action-y, hence the whole "Alice is stubborn and Hamish is maudlin" thing in the description.

Hello there, it's me again))) Well, I rather like this story in spite of your cliche "Stayne-kidnapping-Alice" and "Stayne is BAAAADDD!!!)XD However, I 'd personally prefer some neutral "bad guy" - sorry, mate, but I'm quite fond of the Knave :))))))

If only my Stayne Muse would let me write him as a sympathetic character. I may be able to wrangle him into behaving less dastardly some day, but I can't make any guarantees. Besides, I find it hard to even imagine topping Wanderamaranth's PSE!Stayne who I rather fell in love with.

Oh, PSE Stayne is above competition, I agree:)))) (in fact, PSE is my fav AiW fic EVER just because of Stayne's BEst character development:))))But still, I'd like you to have a try:))))
I will be perfectly honest. I hate this story so much. Here I was, all excited that you were finally nearing the end of the postings. I figured I could read a chapter every now and then so there would be no waiting for the last chapters.
I really should have known better.
Your writing is just so bloody addicting and awesome and impecable that it is completely impossible to NOT say: "Fuck work. I have Manny to read."
In the plus side it has slowed down my reading of the House of Night series. I heard the last book ended at a really horrible spot and the next one doesn't come out until this fall.
To be perfectly honest, sometimes I hate this story, too. I usually just chalk it up to hormones, though, and have myself some chocolate. (^__~) Chocolate makes everything better. Except tacos. Ew.

I haven't read a published book in ages. I probably should, I just keep getting distracted by my own characters. *sigh* And then I have to decide which characters to listen to. I love writing my original stuff, but it gets kinda lonely. Fandom is way more instant-gratification-ish. (^__~)
