I loved this pacing. You set it up very nicely, and brought them together with the exactly needed amount of passion and timeliness and pace.

Right from the beginning you have me wanting to ask all sorts of questions and theorize! How about I restrain myself and just point out what I liked, eh? ;)

Ok, I LOVE how Alice sees the rabbit hole right away, but Hamish doesn't. This makes it seem like it could either be that Hamish doesn't see it because he's unobservant, or because it is invisible to him, OR because it is a product of her own imagination, and she never really went/saw it at all. Why do I love this? Because it gives me the same niggle of doubt that the film and the Carroll texts, do, that "Was it a dream, or did it really happen?" thought.

“Thank you, Alice.” He hesitates for a moment and then, brazenly, leans forward and gives her a quick peck on the cheek. “You understand better than anyone else, you know.”

“And that’s why you keep asking me to marry you?” she muses with a wry grin.
