Perhaps Terry Richardson Should Have Directed The Rocky Horror Glee Show?

I really avoided spoilers or even comments for "The Rocky Horror Glee Show" and I came out really enjoying the episode. It appears I am in the minority which is amazing because I loved the episode without even knowing that everyone else hated it. Like, it didn’t even occur to me to be offended that Mercedes was playing Frank because I was having ( Read more... )

I didn't realize people hated the episode either. I only know Vicki said she was a bit disappointed with it, but I think that was mostly because there seemed to be a huge buildup and it didn't blow her away. However I think that was the point, since it was ridiculous for a high school glee club to attempt to do that show at a school.

I agree with a lot of what you said. It was a terribly low moment for Mr Schue. He usually at least has better intentions, but this was just ridiculous that the only reason was to try to win over Emma.
I really can't stand Emma- and I'm back and forth on whether I think it's the character or the actress or both. It's always worse when she sings.. and if Matt Morrison hadn't been gorgeously shirtless I probably would've fast-forwarded.

Um.. I adore John Stamos.

There was definitely a lot of hype and I avoided it, which was really hard because "Glee" is a show that seems to enjoy being spoiled (music, photos and video clips were released before the episode aired). But going in as blind as I could, from the moment those lips came onscreen I was hooked. I sort of wish they had chucked making a "Glee"-related plot and just done the whole thing as a school musical version of Rocky Horror.

That was the main thing that was problematic, according to the twitter comments I just posted links to in this entry. I think he makes a good point.

This time it sounded like some autotuned combination of Susan Sarandon and Jayma Mays (who plays Emma). I have liked Jayma Mays in other ( ... )

I actually really like Finn now. I wasn't a fan during season 1 but I think he has really improved.
