Asian dumplings... Char Siew Pau (teriyaki pork stuffed dumpling)

They are like buns... with filling...

Like dinner rolls and pies and sandwiches all rolled into one convenient item...

I mean, buns with filling!!!

Today's lunch consists of two decent sized dumplings filled with pork teriyaki. I have four more of these here (at work), and a bunch of other types at home. I've wanted to try these for a very long ( Read more... )

You've discovered PAU!!!!!!! :D (at least, it sounds similar) One of my favourite things on earth!!! :D :D

Sounds like you had char siew. My favourite are tar sau and lian yong (red bean and lotus) flavours.

I just googled "char siew pau" and that's definitely like what I had today! So delicious! I'm a newbie though, so I haven't had the red bean or lotus pau. I have chicken pau and vegetable pau at home.

Ooh, I love learning new terms to go with new foods. :-)
