Since the theme of Iron Chains seems to be "Aggro Mill with a touch of Burn", there are several things you can do. Chainsaw Insect can be a big beater, and stab away at your opponent's deck, as well.
Burden of the Mighty can make the rather small atk scores of the chains not as big a deal.
Skull Invitation may make you damage yourself, but it can also inflict severe burn damage.
