I had the same problem that I suppose you have, that is the blur effect, you need a lower value at opacity...

And Michelle pic you choose is perfect, it just needed to be a lil smaller...

It's actually the smudge tool, but yeah, pretty much. I would love to not have to use it at all one of these days, I still need a lot of practice. Thanks=)
