When I get bored, I goof around on LJ. Tonight I clicked on one of my interests, nazism, and saw what it brought up. It was really surprising to me to find that there's a nazi icon community, nazibox. There's a few people, nyssa_cain & fido_the_dog, who's actually pretty good at making icons, yet she makes icons that basically no one will use. And then there's racial_hatred. This community

While reading your post I was shocked to know that such a community exists, but then again there are also communities about anorexia and bulemia. It does seem strange that these types of communities would be allowed, but isn't there a disclaimer somewhere that LJ doesn't particularly believe all these opinions and that the responsiblity for the content in these posts lies with the poster? I may be wrong.

Anywho, the end of your post reminded me-- I saw a few episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I love that show!

Yeah, that's right. Sometimes I read those communities too. I'm sure LJ does have a disclaimer like that.

That's odd, I guess, but not entirely surprising. I'm pretty much agreeing with what Kristin said...it'd be interesting to read that community, though.

Hah, FMA...I've seen about three episodes in their entirety. I think I'd like the show if I had any idea what was going on at this point. And yes, from what I can tell and have heard, Roy is very wierd.

Ewww, Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Pleh. I think it's that hairy guy and the meatball that repulse me into keeping away. Though, like the french fry dude...Frylock, or something?

I'm not really shocked by those communities. There are other sites out there like that, seperate from LJ. Freedom of speech and all. As long as they don't act on anything, communities like that are allowed to exist, I guess, along with the convience of hiding behind a computer screen. Not entirely comforting, though. :P

The only things I know about FMA are a) I love Al and the muscle guy, and b) there is this one character that I thought was a girl, and continued to think so for many months, and, after having a good look at the character, found out that I was horribly wrong.
