A while ago I was talking with a friend about my interpretation of Kristoph, and I figure I may as well make some notes here on what I said so people have an idea of what I'm thinking. It's not really an essay but I need to do a more essay-y essay later after I've played him more and with more people that are completely unassociated with the AA ( Read more... )

I enjoy the way you play him, myself! It's kind of a 'lets try to ignore that issue of my previous failure so as not to draw attention to it' kind of way. Not denial, but he's definitely not going to talk about it. It might be the only public skeleton from his closet, but he might have more- maybe worse- and like you said, even in the face of failure he is still very concerned with his image.

His jail cell was kind of epic proof of this.

Haha, thanks. His jail scene was awesome, and also a huge chunk of what I keep in mind for camp, since it's sort of the same situation. "OK I'M IN JAIL NOW, BUT DAMNED IF I WILL MAKE ANY OTHER CONCESSIONS IN MY LIFE. Or tell you anything. Or do anything for you at all."

And it's true, they still never explain if the case 4 stuff was what was behind those psyche-locks. I mean, those things were hardcore.

God who did you blame for things before I was born :|||

And he may not be evil, but he has no problems telling people he is. He's probably playing to their assumptions?

I REALLY LOVE THAT LINE TOO ACTUALLY. Mostly I saw it as--he would rather say "ohoho I'm just an evil bastard and that explains why I killed that person" rather than admit "HE TRAMPLED UPON MY FEELINGS SEVEN YEARS AGO AND I HATE HIM 8(" As sad as it seems, I think he would rather be seen as a smooth psycho who kills for the hell of it as opposed to what he really is which is someone who kills out of selfishness, spite, and paranoia. I mean, DOESN'T THE FIRST OPTION SEEM MORE 'COOL' TO YOU. He would play to people's assumptions if they assumed that of him sure. Actually, in camp, maybe that might end up happening with some people. XD

sob I'm so out of it I should probably not be responding to essay things.
