I love philosophy. I cannot begin to say how much texts, ideas and opinions from certain philosophers have changed my views, my beliefs and restructured my philosophical being into who I am now, a man infinitely happier than he was perhaps 5 years ago ( Read more... )

That's true, I suppose. Hope I don't destroy any cultures in the future, scientist that I am. ;)

Oh come on, you're not just a scientist - I know you've totally done Irish literature too.

And learning Japanese and playing RPGs also qualify as their own arts ;)

Oh, of course I've done Irish Lit. I've completed many religion courses, art history, Greek and Roman history, asian history. I agree with you on many counts, but *whispers* not all scientists are total crackpots. Wait, I take that back. I am pretty out there. =p

And darn straight they are. Strategy RPGs are artforms of their own, too. Especially when you get to the higher levels and have to refrain from throwing the PS2 controller through the TV set.

It's really nice seeing you update. =)

I'm currently playing Shattered Union on Xbox, which is killing my brain - and replaying Final Fantasy X - the American version with the laaaaame sphere grid and no dark aeons :(

Next stop - finishing Xenosaga and Shadow Hearts and playing Xenosaga II and Covenant.

And no, scientists aren't specifically evil - teaching science isn't bad either. It's just very limiting and by definition, one POV or nobody's POV. I think it's ultra-restrictive and doesn't reflect reality.

I'm glad to be back :-D
