A guy at work just asked me if I remembered the first movie I saw without my parents.

I think it was Xanadu.

I'm pretty sure it was Godzilla. I'm positive that we were the only people in the theater :-P

See, you're too cool! I wouldn't have even thought to see something like a cult classic! I just followed the herd right into the theater to see a skating movie!

I saw Footloose, but my friend's mom was there--does that count? Next would be E.T. with my grandparents and then Jaws 3 in 3D with my great grandpa. I was not allowed to go to the movies for the most part. I have no idea what would be the first movie completely without a grown up, I'd have to really think about that.

Footloose! OMG! I would say it counts...

I rarely got to go to movies without parents or someone's parents...cuz I didn't have money! ha ha. But Xanadu was playing at the theater down the street. We were allowed to go there a lot during the summer months.
