I had emergency oral surgery yesterday morning.  I went to the dentist on Thursday for my bi-annual check-up, and he said one of my molars was cracking from A) a too large filling; and B) the wisdom tooth next to it was growing in sideways putting a lot of pressure on it from underneath the gum.  Nothing hurt, but he said it would start sooner ( Read more... )

Wow what unexpected mess. Hope you feel better.

I've taken both codeine and vic for various problems and found that they really don't numb pain, they just get you stoned so you don't care about it.

The Vicoprofen knocked me out big time this afternoon. About 10 minutes after I took it, I was on another planet. Slept for about 2.5 hours.

And thanks! I'm doing a lot better than I thought I would, thankfully. :)

Hehe. I can talk and eat, but both are a little awkward. I can't open my mouth very far, so it takes me about 3 times as long to eat anything. But I'm okay for the most part.

I need to get more iced cream for milkshakes, actually. I wish I was allowed to eat yogurt (a no-no because of the active bacterial cultures), because then I'd just eat smoothies all day.

*hugs* I got all of my wisdom teeth out in one go and it was no fun at all. At least you get to eat enough ice cream that you get sick of it, right? ;)
