Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Jul 10, 2006 03:16

Well, seeing as (I think) everyone here knows Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl is my favorite movie ever, you know I've already seen the new one. Twice, in fact. I went to a midnight showing on Thursday/Friday (where there were three sold out screenings), and just got back from go-around #2 with my friend Joanna.

Toughts, opinions, spoilers, etc. )

potc, movie reviews

Are you trying to say they'll get Sean Connery and not Keith Richards to play Sparrow Sr.?

No, because Keith Richards is Sean Connery.

Jack Sparrow wants to debauch the world, Will Turner included. Will just doesn't know he, himself, wants it as well...yet.

I agree with all your conclusions, (well, except that i quite enjoyed the creepy tentacles :)

The game played on the Flying Dutchman is called Liar's Dice, an old drinking game that i learned in a bar many years ago. I was honestly surprised they did not give a better explanation of the game before making it a significant plot device, as it is really easy to learn.

All hail Wikipedia. Thank you for the link; thankfully the Internet works where screenwriters fail.

this is the age of information. Meaning laziness.

There's an online game of Liar's Dice online, where you play against Jack Sparrow and Will Turner, and they're both incomprehensibly bad at the game.
