Oy, the phone has been ringing off the hook today! I guess after the holiday weekend, people are trying to play catch-up. But I seriously have gone two or three days with the same number of calls that I've had since 9AM this morning. I'm actually still in my PJs because of it. *blushes ( Read more... )

I adore Pride and Prejudice. I was so in love with Mr. Darcy for such a long time until Louis came along. *sighs happily*

I'd normally read Cry to Heaven every so often. But since you're on a Jane Austen kick...yeah continue on with her stuff.

I swear, you and I are of one brain with literary characters: Louis, Hamlet, and now Mr. Darcy. Aloof, broody, and somber...does it get any better? :)

Cry to Heaven is probably one of Anne's best books, and one of my favorite books of all times. can't recommend it highly enough.

I've been meaning to read it forever, but I'd been so disallusioned by her recent books that I just got off the Rice kick. I think my wounds have healed now, so it's high on my list now.

I picked up Murakami on the suggestion of Rebecca. She loves his writing, so I figured I'd give it a try. Plus, there was an interesting article about him in the Times a few weeks ago.

I've been meaning to read One Hundred Years of Solitude forever and a day. Finally managed to buy myself a copy. And I have high hopes for Wild Ginger as well. I count Red Azalea as one of my favorite books ever.

Dance Dance Dance is the sequel to Wild Sheep Chase.... neither are really a good beginning to Murakami. Try his short stories (Elephant Vanishes) or Wind Up Bird Chronicle
