But how can it be wrong. There's been a host of studies!

I question the credibility of the organizations that performed the studies, the manner in which they phrased their questions (which can predetermine results), and the perception of "happy" between a housewife and a career woman, one who's achieved her goals while the other is still working toward it.

Career couples have difficulty when they go into the situation without a proper understanding or expectation of time commitments they'll have to deal with and perhaps not the right amount of self-esteem to deal with a spouse more successful than he.

I think Michael has erectile disfunction.

"...much of the reasoning is based on a lot of economic theory and a bit of common sense."

In other words, based on bullshit.

That's funny to see, considering many households--in order to survive--have to have two working people. Not many can afford the luxury of the wife staying home. I know I wouldn't want to be a housewife. I have goals and aspirations for myself. It's not that I think it's a horrible thing... just not for everyone.

It pisses me off because there are going to be stupid stupid men believing this or men that have preconcieved notions saying, "OH! That's it exactly!"

The problem with experts is that they can slant even the most miniscule (and likely unimportant correlation) to mean SOMETHING. It's like, why should anyone believe anything about studies on the news? THey constantly contradict themselves.
