Title: If I Died Tomorrow
Pairings/Characters: Ohno/Aiba, Gen
Rating: PG
Warnings: Based on the title, you should already know what you're about to read (but don't worry, THIS IS NOT TRAGIC)
Notes: I've suffered from depression since elementary. In high school and college, it would spiral out of control at times. Nowadays, I've learned to manage it. But every once in a while (like today), my mind would go to a very dark place. To calm myself, I've written this. Hopefully you'll enjoy~
Summary: Ohno asks Arashi a question.
"Ne, Sho-chan? Can I ask you something?"
Ohno and Sho were currently at a photoshoot. The theme was "Halloween" so they were both dressed in costume. Sho was dressed as a mummy (of course the costume designers made sure that the bandages weren't covering his face) and Ohno was a merman (since the magazine would photoshop his fish tail later, Ohno was basically only wearing a pair of swim trunks instead).
Sho looked up from the newspaper he was reading- they were currently on a ten minute break- and raised an eyebrow at Ohno. "Sure, what do you want to ask?"
"What would you do if I died tomorrow?" Ohno asked, sitting on the couch aside from Sho as he ate some snacks. Sho's eyes widened at that before furrowing his eyebrows.
"Why are you asking this? Is there something wrong?" He asked, looking at his leader worriedly.
Ohno shook his head, smiling a little. "Nope. I was just thinking." He assured the other. Sho sighed in relief as he went back to his newspaper.
"Is that all? Hmm...." Sho thought about it as he flipped to the economics page. "Then we would have to have a funeral, wouldn't we?"
Ohno looked at him, nodding his head. "Oh yeah. Do you think I should get a funeral?"
Sho thought about it for a moment. "You're Arashi's leader after all. They'll be a lot of people who would want to come."
"Hm, you're right. And they'll bring flowers too." Ohno nodded. "Okay, I have a funeral."
"You want one at sea?" Sho questioned, grinning at him.
Ohno laughed. "Nah. Too much hassle- I don't want to bother anyone. Just stick me in the ground and be done with it."
They both laughed at that for a while until Sho playfully hit Ohno on the head. "You definitely won't be a bother to us, Ohno." Ohno smiled back at him before the photographer called them both back to start shooting again.

"Ne, Jun-kun? Can I ask you something?"
Ohno and Jun were currently at Tokyo Dome, going over things for they're upcoming concert. Jun was looking through files to see the plans that were made for the construction of a new moving stage while Ohno was going over the choreography for the four songs (minus his solo) that he was in charge of.
Jun looked away from his computer screen to look at Ohno questionably. "What is it?"
Practicing some footsteps for a song, Ohno kept his eyes focused on his feet as he asked, "What would you do if I died tomorrow?"
Jun choked a bit as he immediately stood up and walked towards his leader. "Are you sick or something?" He interrogated as he laid his palm on Ohno's forehead. "I have medicine in my bag if you need any- don't kill yourself off if it's just a cold or a fever."
Ohno chuckled as he gently grabbed Jun's hand away from his head and shook his head. "Calm down, Jun. I'm only asking theoretically."
Jun huffed as he smacked him in the arm. "Don't joke around with stuff like that, stupid! You almost gave me a heart attack!"
"Okay, okay. Sorry, please forgive me, okay?" Ohno apologized, pouting his lips as he rubbed his aching arm.
"Fine. But don't do that again." Jun conceded, going back to his spot on the sofa.
"So...?" Ohno trailed off, looking at Jun.
Jun raised his eyebrows. "What?"
"What would you do?" Ohno reminded him, looking at him expectantly.
Jun narrowed his eyes at the shorter man before slowly grinning at him. "I would curse you to hell and back for leaving Arashi." He then turned back to the concert plans, smiling as he heard Ohno's laughter behind him.

"Ne, Nino? Can I ask you something?"
Ohno and Nino were in their green room, waiting for the filming for VS Arashi to start. The other three members were visiting their opponents in another room. Nino sat on the couch, his feet resting on the table in front of him as he played with his DS. Ohno was sitting beside him, watching the game being played.
At Ohno's question, Nino didn't answer but kept playing his game. Ohno knew that he could take that as a yes. "What would you do if I died tomorrow?"
In the game, Mario accidentally missed a jump and fell into the hole. He had only two lives left. "I would wait for when they announced who gets what from your will." Nino answered, keeping his eyes on his game.
"What would you want?" Ohno asked, cheering silently as Mario passed the level.
"Half of your life's savings- I know you'll probably give the other half to your mom- you're manga books and all your games with the game stations that I gave you." Nino told him, pressing the buttons hard as he tried to defeat Bowser.
"You've thought about it?" Ohno questioned, looking at the game screen amused.
Bowser killed Mario and Nino growled in frustration as the fight started again. He only had one life left. "Not only you- I also have a list for the others as well." Nino assured him, determined to defeat Bowser this time.
"You're pretty prepared, huh?" Ohno observed, watching as Mario shot at Bowser. Nino didn't answer as he was almost to beating the level.
They sat in silence for a minute before Ohno causally mentioned, "Maybe I should get my will prepared, just in case."
The beeping sounded from the DS, notifying the two of them that Mario was defeated by Bowser and he had no more lives left. As the game started over again, Nino gave Ohno a short side glance before turning back to his DS. "Nah. Do it another time. Despite what they say, you're not old enough to die yet." He said quietly as the level started once again.
Ohno said nothing as he sat just a little bit closer to Nino, both of them staring at the screen as Mario began jumping on the mushrooms.

Ohno and Aiba were at Aiba's house as they were getting ready to watch a movie. Ohno was choosing between widescreen or full screen on the DVD while Aiba brought two beers and a bowl of popcorn to the couch.
As the movie played, Ohno grabbing a handful of popcorn before asking the other, "Ne, Masaki? Can I ask you something?"
Aiba looked away from the tv and looked at Ohno with a questioning smile. "Of course. You can ask me anything."
Ohno kept his eyes on the movie as he watched the village in the movie being attack by Titans. "What would you do if I died tomorrow?" The only sounds in the room were the screams of the villagers as the Titans started to destroy everything.
When Aiba was too quiet, Ohno finally looked away from the screen and faced Aiba, his eyes immediately turning wide as Aiba looked back at him with shocked eyes.
"Hey, I was only kidding." Ohno quickly said, bring the taller man into his arms as he could tell that Aiba was about to cry. "I'm not really going to die tomorrow." He assured him.
Aiba shook his head, giving a small tearful laugh. "Yeah, I know. I'm just being stupid."
Ohno shook his head as he brought Aiba's face to his own and told him sternly. "You are not stupid. You are one of the most smartest and most insightful person I know. It's my fault for asking something like that. I'm sorry." Ohno apologized, looking guilty.
Aiba gave a little smile and kissed Ohno gently on the lips. Cuddling closer to Ohno, he whispered, "I don't know."
Ohno pulled away a little and looked at the other, confused. "You don't know about what?"
Aiba looked at him with a serious expression. "I don't know what I'll do if you die. But I'm pretty sure that I'll cry a lot. Definitely more than anyone."
Ohno wrapped his arms and legs around Aiba like he was a stuffed animal. Although Aiba was the taller one out of the two, for them the position worked. Ohno gave a rueful smile as he whispered, "But I'm sure you'll smile again in no time."
Ohno thought that his whisper wasn't loud enough to be heard, so he was surprised when his lover shook his head and answered back, "I'm not sure about that, Oh-chan."
"Eh?" Ohno exclaimed, trying to get a look at Aiba's face.
Aiba stared at the tv, watching the movie once more. "I've said before that rather than smiling because things are enjoyable, I think that if you smile there's something enjoyable waiting for you. But if you were to die Satoshi, what will be waiting for me then?"
The room was silent after that, the only sounds coming from the movie as Ohno thought about what was said.
Truthfully, Ohno was having a hard time lately. He was stressed from all their shows, photo shoots and the upcoming concert. He couldn't find time for himself to just relax and go fishing. In fact, today was the first time in two weeks where he and Aiba could just be together and watch a movie (they had been so swamped with various activities that they kept missing each other).
When things got this hectic, sometimes Ohno's mind would go to dark places- that's why most of the time he tried to come off as indifferent. If he didn't, he didn't want to know what would happen.
When he thought about it more, Ohno was surprised about how bad it had gotten this time. But thankfully, all his members knew the right thing to say to him- especially Aiba (though he was sure that the others didn't know exactly what was going on in their leader's mind).
Feeling much lighter again, Ohno's mind travelled back to his right hand, where it laid gently on top of his jean pocket, where inside the pocket was about 100 yen and a few spare change...and also a small black box with a certain ring inside.
"Ne, Masaki?" Ohno asked, holding the other tighter as the movie end credits started to roll on screen.
"Can I ask you something?"
