Y didn't n e 1 tell me that Linux was free??? A free operating system! Crazy! And apparently pretty much n e thing that runs on it is free. And the word processor saves things in .doc 4 mat so it's compatible with Windows programs. And the photoshop-esque program, "The Gimp", is actually prefered by most major companies and graphic designers ( Read more... )

I do the same thing after reading harry potter, or even more so when I've been watching monty python shows/movies. it's quite fun, actually sometimes more so than traditional profanity. but it's combinations of bloody with far more vulgar language that are the most fabulous.

The Gimp can run on Windows.. but u need a GTk+ run environment thingy....

Linux is ok.. growing in popularity... the thing is some versions are not free... and it works quite differently then windows when half the programs for it are not compiled yet... However,, it does do a lot once installed.. and is being made more and more acceptible..

However.. each excursion away from windows makes me miss some little thing..lol

Yeah I know. Its free 4 windows 2. But the only thing is, p pl say the windows version is not as good. The Linux version is supposedly better than photoshop, but the Windows version is worse than photoshop...not sure. All rumors 2 me until I actually c it and use it.

And yes, windows does have that homely, friendly touch 2 it, doesn't it? :P
