Gosh, so much stuff to go thru to get any job these days and people wonder why our unemployment is so high. I'm happy that you got the job, but all the things you had to do get it phew. Working before you even get the chance to work to get any employment.
I guess these times are more difficult to get work, I used to turn in apps and get a job within 3 days time at most after the first interview. I've been having it rough, but I'll make it...I've been thru much worse....
