So I think I'm going to delete this LJ. I barely post anymore; I don't have the time. Most of the people on my friends page I know from other places, including MySpace. I don't want to be one of those people that never posts and trolls his friends page whenever I get the chance. So I'm pretty sure I'm going to delete this. I'm going to mull it ( Read more... )

:(
I hate when people leave here after I've gotten to know them a little. Ah well...you only live 40 minutes away from me, we'll get a drink someday.

There's always MySpace and the frightening reality known as real life. :-P

And we have a mutual friend in Mike, so I'm sure we'll be just fine.

And by the way...Woody would bang his adopted daughter, leave his wife, marry said daughter, and write a bunch of crappy movies.

Yeah yeahhh, keep spouting your promises of MySpace and real life, I know I'll never hear from you again. ;)

And touche, my friend. My icon is humbled.

I have been contemplating the exact same thing, how funny.
I never post anymore, and my friends a barely do either. However, I do agree with the comment from above--for four years I really did use this journal to keep track of my life and there will be some things I will want to remember... deleting it might not be the best thing, but not posting is definitely an option... so anyway who knows.
Good luck with your decision, now that I have babbled on about my own ;)

How the heck are you, anyway??

I'm doing alright. Still living at home, saving some cash to eventually buy a place of my own. I don't want to rent anymore; it was a bad idea the first time around. I'm still working at State Street; I'm taking over as manager of my group come April, so the money increase should make buying a place easier.

What have you been up to? Liking the school you're teaching at now? We should get a drink at some point and catch up. :-)

Yeah, things are pretty much the same here. Living at home--but not doing much saving (yet). It sucks when you finally get a job that pays a halfway decent salary, then you have to go and pay stuff off that you have been dealing with for the last four years when you had no money, you know? But Jannelle and I are planning on moving out August 1. I know paying rent sucks, but at this point, I'll be 30 by the time I move out if I want to save to buy a place!

School is going well. I like Arlington a lot, but I'm always walking on eggshells being the newest teacher with a possible budget cut coming up.

I just reread that and it sounds like I'm miserable, but really I'm not! haha!

Yes, let's catch up soon!!

You can't! What about the memories?! What about your friends' posts! Jen and Bobbi still use this. I look at this every day! You can't!!! You just can't! Instead you should start posting, even if it is rare! Besides, I hate Myspace and all those things, I never read them.

I don't need an LJ to remember the memories. The ones worth remembering are in my head.

What good is it to look at my LJ if I don't post or even want to post anymore? It's not like people can't call me if they want to talk to me or find out what's going on. I'm just getting a little frustrated with the way that the internet and text messaging has sucked all the life out of social interaction.

Yes, Jen and Bobbi still use this. But if you read their posts, it's the same damn thing over and over and over. If I really want to know what's going on with them, I'd call. And they along with Angela (whom you don't know) are the only people that post on a regular basis.

So, to recap:
1) With the rare exception, I don't want to read my friends' LJs anymore
2) I don't want to post anymore
3) I want my interaction with people to be ACTUAL interaction

So I'm pretty sure it's going the way of the dinosaur as of Saturday. Either that, or I cut down the friends list significantly and just read the entries that I actually would want to

But I do hope you are doing well!
