Hell, I thought we'd heard the end of this. Has it made the national news of something?

Yeah, wouldn't that be nice? But the thing that's new I guess is the coach resigning on account of this, which is outrageous to me.

That, and the cell phone thing. You'd think people would have just a little more manners than to take someone's phone and text rude, sexual things to their contacts list.

*sigh* A moment of silence for our late friend.... Manners.

PS - Love your icon. I'll bet you made that yourself, you talented little stinker. And I love the dresses you made and posted on dA.

the last i heard, none of the girls are still on the squad.

but you hit the nail on the head with everything else. This is what I really can't stand about parents today. They want what's best for their children so much that they can't take anything away.

Ooh... Well, that's different, someone told me they hadn't been kicked off. Good.

I can't stand parents who can't say no for fear of hurting their child's feelings. My parents weren't my friends, they were my parents. I could talk to them and confide in them, but you bet they'd whoop my ass so fast if I ever tried ANYTHING like this. I'm surprised the parents of these other little idiots didn't pull their kids off of the squad. "No child of mine is going to post questionable pics of herself in her cheerleading uniform." Every one of my friends' parents that I know would have yanked their kids off of the team for even THINKING of doing such a thing.

It scares me how many kids rule their roosts and their parents.

I saw that story on the news the other night and was as angry as you are over it. I was a high school teache. No one in my school would have gotten away with any of that bullshit. Because we were a private school, teachers were given more authority and with that came more expectation that we would not allow bad behavior to ever escalate. As a teacher if I stepped out of bounds, the principal would see what MY problem was and seek a fast remedy.

I'm pissed that as a parent, first and formost, this woman failed her daughter.
I'm pissed that as a principal she failed her daughter, her students, her staff and the community.
I'm EXTREMELY pissed that the community saw fit to pay the woman $75,000 to go away! What a nice reward for being a schmuck of a principal!
I just shake my head at the stupidity of all involved that these five little ho's are still on the squad.

They should be happy that you and I are not parents at that school. I bet we could rage at them together.

It baffles me that they gave her a reward for being a fuckup. Probably so she won't sue. "OMG, they expected me to do my JOB and then FIRED me when I didn't, and made an ass of myself, my daughter, my school and my community!"

You know she'd win, too.

Yeah she'd most likely win. What is it about these hefty severance packages? I mean why give the CEO of Home Depot a severance of $210 million just for being a fuck up?

It sucks.

You should give gifts like that to people who deserve it; read: Your Underlings, in the form of holiday bonuses and pay raises.

It was hilarious to us, too, until the conductor told us that his bringing drugs and being under the influence was enough to have ALL of us sent home from the council that invited us, and then ban us from returning ( ... )

Oh, were you aware that posting suggestive pics in their school cheerleading uniforms wasn't the tip of the iceberg? The "Fab Five," as they're being called, also stole the coach's cell phone and text messaged dirty messages to her husband.

No, I had not been aware of that. >_<

When I first heard about the suggestive pictures, I have to admit, I thought, "Now, if these were football players in their school uniforms, would anybody fret that they were posing suggestively? Double standard, anyone?"

But theft and harassment. Yeah, that's bad. And notwithstanding that (male) athletes get away with all sorts of shit, sometimes worse. The principal is definitely a Moo.

This happened in Texas, right? Big surprise. Sports are everything there, and school administrators always protect the asshole jocks and their little hoochie mamas.
