Ise Roadtrip Adventure!

October 6th and 7th was a road trip weekend. As expected when Aussie Jen and I pile into a tiny car and head out with nothing but a vague plan, several boxes of Jagarico, and some clean towels, the whole ordeal was craziness. I’ll try to sum it up as best I can.

I need to actually see the sights the next time I go to Japan. By that I mean not the main touristy ones. Must see the countryside!

Gasp!!! I haven't even finished the entry yet, but I just read about the bathrooms and I am ENTIRELY jealous. John and i miss Japan is a really weird way. I get literally homesick for it.

Anyway. Now I'll go back and finish reading. Those Takos are Adorable!!!

I just finished reading, and will probably start over again to re-live the second-hand experience. It all sounded so wonderful, even the car nap. The place with the pearls sounded lovely and exciting. I'm proud that you bought yourself your first precious stone (gem?). That sounds exactly like the kind of thing you would do. I'd love to see what it looks like on you.

When I come back to visit, I want a car-trip like this. The sunrise, the onsen, the tasty foods... I still don't understand why I miss Japan so much even though I was only there for 2 weeks. I somehow left a part of me there, as cheesy as that sounds.
