At the end of The Hundred Days we left our heroes setting sail for Chile at last with a lady and her maid waving, waving, waving from the end of the Gibraltar Mole. Now let us find out how far they get in this first stage of the book, and how the world - and in particular the military - is faring now Napoleon is defeated.
