Who: Teddy and Raven What: Flying and talking and being friends When: An afternoon it isn't too windy or too cold! Where: The Sanctuary and then... somewhere for flying! Rating: PG
For some reason she had hoped she had a month or two longer, until after winter, to get used to the idea of being above ground. This was probably for the best, though. Sooner. It would be fine.
"Sure. Where are we going to go? Should I get a jacket?"
Teddy's face fell slightly, although it didn't disappear. "Well, we don't have to, I thought we could just hang out. I thought you know... baby-steps, right?" After all, he'd fallen and broken enough bits of himself when he was learning- and even if he'd healed up almost instantly, it didn't mean she could, and having someone to help her learn possibly wouldn't do much better.
"I thought we could get lunch or something too, or something. And hang-out? Just us? And it is... sort of cold out. If you wanted to go out. A jacket might be a good idea."
"We'll eat after a bit of flying." She noticed that, Teddy, and she won't let it be because of her. They don't have to go near roofs for a while, right? They can just work on wings today.
She drags him inside before she looks for a jacket, and in a short moment she's ready to head out.
That's what Teddy was planning. It'd be stupid to just go up to a roof or something today and start jumping off it. It's not something that will help her at all, it'd just be dangerous and freak her out.
"I thought we could find somewhere quiet with a bit of space, you know? Practise wings and things. Cos they're the hardest bit- they have to be the right size and shape and everything, or you just... well, you don't get off the ground. And too big, they just take too much effort to move."
He's grinning though, pleased that she's coming out, and he walks with her down the corridor, towards the main doors of the Sanctuary.
"I do have.... an ulterior motive too, though. I mean, I want to see you and everything, but I needed to talk to you too. You know, one-on-one."
