[UH OH THAT DOESN'T SOUND GOOD.]

what's your location, ma'am? i've got some first aid supplies. what are your injuries?

[He thinks for a moment, then shakes his head. Too much Lunar politics to keep up with to deal with Earth politics, too.]

[To explain, he points at the sky, vaguely in the direction the moon would rise. It's still unfamiliar to think for him - a moonrise. He's watched earthrises all his life. But he does, anyway, points at himself, and vaguely indicates a moon sickle with his finger.]

[Ah well, it was worth a shot.

His next mimed response is a little harder to make out, but eventually she tries,] You're from the moon?

[brb_napping]

[He nods happily! Yes, that's exactly right.]

[cigarboss]

Born there? Or just based there. [Sorry for being curious, she died in 1964 they hadn't made it to the moon yet this is exciting!]

[brb_napping]

[He hesitates, not sure how to explain. Then he figures out a way - he hopes. He clenches a fist against his heart gently, then points at the moon. Then he taps his weapon twice, stands up straight, and points at the earth.]

[AND HEY HE'D BE SAD IF HE KNEW. 8(]

[The Boss's curious expression dims a little when she deciphers his message. God knows how many years in the future and still war plagues Earth. She knew it'd be a hard struggle, but she'd hoped, some day, that pointless fighting would be a thing of the past.]

I see. And how long have you been a soldier?

[brb_napping]

[He moves a little, obviously uncomfortable, and then raises a hand, his index, middle, and ring fingers outstretched.]

[YEAH SORRY HE USES JAPANESE GESTURES SOB.]

[Boss hazards a guess.] Three years?

[brb_napping]

[O WHOOPS I WAS TIRED AND MESSED UP, IT WAS FIVE, SOB. Can we pretend he signalled five?]

[HE SALUTES HER. At least that's a fairly universal gesture. And he's visibly relieved. But before he leaves her, he points at her wounds, and then gestures in the direction of the hospital.]

She salutes back and nods when he points to her arm.] I'll have it checked out later. [Maybe. We'll see.]
