[The video broadcast begins with a flash of half-clothed leg and a loud clatter as the device hits the floor. There's a long moment of rustling fabric as Pepper pulls on her pants and then a sigh.]

[He slaps a hand on the elevator doorframe, stopping the doors from closing, and grins at her.] I think you're forgetting something.

[He opens his mouth to respond, hesitates, then closes it. That's a very good question, Pepper. Maybe something simple wouldn't hurt.] How've you been?

[Trying to save the world and all that.]

And I know you have, but if you want to talk about yourself for a few minutes I won't stop you.

Really? I thought you'd revel in the chance to get me to stop talking about myself.

I'm hoping you'll get distracted and stand up so the elevator doors will close and I can escape.

Naw, JARVIS wouldn't let them close before I said so. At least stay for breakfast.

[Tony is silent, watching her thoughtfully. At last, he steps back out of the way of the door.]

You know where to find me. [His voice is quiet, subdued. This is not how he would've liked finally getting to bang Pepper to have gone.] JARVIS, doors. Let Ms. Potts go home.

[She resists a final jab, and she certainly won't say good bye or thank you or anything.

And she'll not break down in the elevator either.]

[SURPRISE SURPRISE, the elevator only goes down one floor before stopping. Welcome home, Pepper.]

[She's not even looking. Tony's up to something.]

JARVIS, the lobby, please.

[ironfail]

It appears that all of your belongings are on this floor of the tower, ma'am.

JARVIS, there's no way you know what I own. Take me to the lobby immediately.

[ironfail]

I assure you I am secure in my assessment of the items on this floor. Perhaps it would be easier just to see for yourself, ma'am.

I'm not stepping off of this elevator until you take me to the lobby.
