[There is fear, concern, worry, and a whole cocktail of emotions on Thor's face and in his voice. He is already moving out towards the woods and everything behind him is a blur as he uses Mjolnir to get there.]

You can see them when we use the Bifrost, but it is merely an image cast by magic, a shadow of what is actually there. These seem... much closer to the actual thing, but they may well be branches, that is possible.
