Every year, from the 6th until the 13th of August, Mandalus celebrates the Harvest of Messis. This year is no different, only that there are many new guests to the festivities. The city is adorned with decorations, the scents of food, fire, and the change of the seasons hang in the air and the buzz around the city is one of mixed feelings. While ( Read more... )

[Tony, despite what one might expect, has actually been having a good time at the carnival. They're not the sort of thing he goes to often back home, but as if he's going to pass up the chance to play stupid games and eat all the junk food he wants. He's already eaten more cotton candy than is probably healthy and is now debating whether to go home or try out a few more carnival games.

He's holding a huge stuffed crocodile that he won at one of the booths and is currently talking to it as he debates with it whether to stay or leave. Loki's probably better off just avoiding him.]

[Loki spotted the self proclaimed genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist talking to his prize and made his way over to the man, standing perfectly still behind him. He waited until Tony had stopped talking to the toy to speak up, using a voice not like his own to make it as though the plush was answering.]

Stay and play, Tony. You rarely leave your silly tower so why not soak up all the fun you can my new friend?

[Wait a second, what the fuck. Tony stares at the plushie in his arms, bewildered, before looking around for the actual source of the voice. He couldn't have eaten so much junk that he was hallucinating, no way. Finally he turns around - lo and behold, Loki.]

Jesus Christ, I thought I was actually losing it there for a moment.

[Are you sure you're not losing it, Tony? You do drink an awful lot and that can mess with certain parts of the brain...

Loki looked up at the man, green eyes wide and innocent, hands held up in a motion of surrender.]

I did not a thing. That toy of yours however... Is very fascinating. What booth did you win it from? I should like one of my own.

[Like Tony actually believes that innocent child look, come on. You're Loki, and besides, children are never innocent anyway.]

Yeah sure, kid, you didn't do a thing. If you magic my crocodile I will have no qualms hurting you. [Okay maybe just a few qualms. He'll put Loki in time out?] Uh, that one?

[He points at one of the stalls further down the street. It's your traditional 'knock the milk bottles over with a baseball' kind of game, which was weird seeing in the middle of a 'harvest festival' but hey, carnival.]

[Aw... Don't be like that Tony. Kids can be innocent... Sometimes.

That smile on his lips falls the second the man mentions magic and the tosses his bag of cotton candy at Tony's face.] I do not have any magic you bumbling oaf!

[The boy turned on his heel and stalked off, dragging his bag of prizes with him as he headed over to the indicated stall. Maybe if he got to smash things his mood would go back to how it was.]

[Tony catches the bag after it bounces off his face, tucking the crocodile under his arm so he can free up his hands.] Aww, sounds like someone's got his panties in a twist.

[Tony would happily walk away with the kid's cotton candy, but that seems a little too mean even for him, so he follows Loki to the stall so he can shove the bag back at him.]

[It was a good thing Loki was far enough away when Tony made that comment or else there would have been more than a bag of cotton candy thrown at his head.

When Tony does get to him, Loki is throwing the ball at the bottles, frowning when he would hit them and nothing happened. Stupid rigged game... The boy slumped down onto his prize haul, shooing Ikol off his shoulder. He was in no mood to be mocked by anyone, not even his evil self.]

[Like what, a stuffed animal? Ooh, Tony's quaking in fear.

He leans against the booth's counter, grinning at Loki.] Need some help?
