[Thor's head has felt foggy for the past few days, worse and worse, bit by bit, and now he is finally starting to think in a way that he is sure is clearer. It isn't, however. Whatever has been happening in Mandalus, he is starting to get all kinds of wild ideas about the place, that it's perfect, better than anywhere they could be, safer and worth ( Read more... )

[Does the fact he's wearing armour and a cape make it any more tolerable? Probably not.]

We were told, when we arrived in a large group, that this world's safety is what determines the safety of all the other realms. If we lose this one, we lose all of them.

[He shakes his head faintly.] Not yet, but many plan to leave without aiding this realm in it's plight.

[At least he's friendly enough? Y/N?]

Realm, as in one of the Nine realms of Yggdrasil. This appears to be a sort of nexus, a middle realm within the Tree itself. It has no single ruler. Three beings known as Entity, Mother, and Praenuntius rule in union.

[He shakes his head faintly.] There is no known way, not yet. There are scientists working on such possibilities.

[There is a very good chance he's a little different in the head, but sadly he's the sane one in the family.

He looks a little uncertain as he's asked to explain Yggdrasil, because he's not certain many mortals take him seriously about it, least of all the ones who are not willing to hear it, like Jane was.] ...Yggdrasil is the Worlds Tree. It is what connects Nine Realms. Not planets, because many planets can be in a single realm. Midgard, where the planet Earth is, has other planets surrounding it. My realm, Asgard, is a single place. [He frowns a little bit.] This realm, it is something... out of time and space, it is a tenth realm that should not exist, but does so, to give us chances.

[He nods once, but hesitates at first.] The forerunner in the issue is Jane Foster. Harm her and I will be forced to deal with you.

That is what the humans called it. We simply use that name because that is what they chose. My people refer to their realm more than their planet. Midgard.

[He shakes his head faintly.] It is not of belief or religion, it is science and magic. There are things that cannot be explained and must be seen, but I am unable to show anyone how Yggdrasil and the Bifrost work in this realm.

[Thor pauses for a moment, because he's not sure what makes it special, only that something fogging his mind insists it is.] ...That it exists at all makes it special. To draw beings from every realm, it most likely is seated within the heart of the Tree. Such a world should not exist, but it does.

[A nod.] Good. I would prefer not to have to come to her aid in such matters.

Humans are unique and fascinating people.

I am not familiar with this Force you speak of. [He tilts his head back a little as he thinks about it.] It can, but my people are no longer worshipped by the masses, so we do not expect the religious aspect of it. We gods have mostly fallen into their myths and legends.

[Except when his little brother tries to rule Midgard and he has to come and take him home.]

I am uncertain, and no doubt they have some control over it, but there is likely some form of power that is native to this realm that is a gateway to other worlds. My people would call it a Bifrost, a bridge.

Many of the realms tend to be somewhat literal in their names. Jotunheim, for instance, is the heim, home, of Jotuns. Specific names seem useful when there are many planets in a realm.

[He nods with a half smile.] We are still gods, but humans tend not to worship us as commonly. I am Thor, Son of Odin, God of Thunder.

[Thor snorts in amusement.] Earth and it's humans are strange, they chose the name, I suppose they find it simple enough. It is very isolated, however, you are right.

[He shakes his head with a grin.] You do not need to apologise. I was born to be the God of Thunder. I was bestowed with the great hammer, Mjolnir, once I was old enough to be able to lift it. That is how I was granted full use of my powers.

I would not be against it. If you are near a window, look outside.

[Thor is somewhat of a show-off, even now, and he grins a little bit to himself as he sets the phone somewhere where it can record fully. Taking a few steps back, he takes up his hammer and raises it above his head. His powers are still a little dimmed from the bangle but he's capable enough despite that. The sky darkens, only half as dark as it normally goes, and thunder rumbles outside, a rather medium sized shock of lightning coming down to hit the hammer in his hand, the wind around him picking up.

Bringing Mjolnir down, he aims at nothing particular, just in front of him, sending the electricity he collected shooting from the hammer. It's only a small demonstration, and it's not raining thankfully, so he picks up the phone and gives a half smug smile.] That is the most I can do with my abilities restrained by the bangle.
