Harvest of Messis; About
The Harvest of Messis is a week long festival from August 6th - August 13th. The festival is to celebrate the beginning of the harvest time in Mandalus. While Mandalus is hardly farm land, the harvest is also to celebrate the harvest god, Messis and to thank this god for a good season. There will be all kinds of activities for everyone to indulge in, and at the same time it's a good chance for those who are curious to find out a little bit about the past of Mandalus.
The bulk of the festivities will be held in the Venetian District. Here, citizens will find an array of attractions including a small carnival with rides, food stands, street performers, and music and dancing well into the night. The rest of Mandalus will have been decorated seemingly over night with flowers, leaves, banners, all in golds and oranges and browns, to signify the coming autumnal weather. The festival itself can be accredited to the temple, ran by Ensi, although all those already present in Mandalus before The Arrival have their hands in it. Besides that, a play will be put on at intervals throughout the week. This play depicts life as it once was in Mandalus. The details of this can be found out ICly.
Additionally, there will be various sized bonfires all over Mandalus until, on the 13th, the final fire is lit in thanks to Messis.

The second event for August will be more plot driven. There will be more on this to come, so keep an eye out.
