Well, I'm glad the month of June is over with. I'm so stressed out I could scream. I work in collections. And the majority of what I do is based on a one month time frame. June was quarter end. Where did you get your dress? If you got it at David's, whatever you do, don't let them alter it. It is outrageous expensive. Find a seamstress to do it, if you need a name I've got one. She'll tell you the same thing. She doesn't care who you use, just don't use Davids.

They charged my maid of honor $105 to alter a $110 dress (for another wedding where she had no choice who she used) and over $50 of that was to hem a plain a-line dress, not taking it in or anything, just hemming. The only problem I had by taking it to an outside source is that David's didn't want to steam the wrinkles out.

Melanie, I bought my dress at Wedding Wonderland. They have an onsite seamstress there who I'm probably going to use. I don't know how much she charges yet. I've heard alot of negative things about David's Bridal. They're going to be my last resort in finding bridesmaid's dresses. I'm in a wedding next month, and I had to buy my dress at David's. I'm going to have to get it hemmed because it's too long. So if you know someone who can do that, that would be great!!!
