The whole problem with the world is the fact that the world is not enough.

Типа, "ггг, Рассел" и "измени себя сам"?

Типа, фраза, начинающаяся с "the whole problem with the world is" cannot be taken seriously nowadays.

Ну, это зависит от уровня интеллекта выдающего фразу. Философия таки ж имеет максимально абстрактный аппарат из возможных в нашем whole world.

не могу с вам согласиться

These are Cipolla's five fundamental laws of stupidity:
1.Always and inevitably each of us underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.
2. The probability that a given person is stupid is independent of any other characteristic possessed by that person.
3. A person is stupid if they cause damage to another person or group of people without experiencing personal gain, or even worse causing damage to themselves in the process.
4. Non-stupid people always underestimate the harmful potential of stupid people; they constantly forget that at any time anywhere, and in any circumstance, dealing with or associating themselves with stupid individuals invariably constitutes a costly error.
5. A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person there is.

Don't see anything funny or amusing in his statement. It's so true.

"The two things the world needs most are Socialism and peace, but both are contrary to the interests of the most powerful men of our time."

Bertrand Russell, In Praise of Idleness and Other Essays

“For my part, while I am as convinced a Socialist as the most ardent Marxian, I do not regard Socialism as a gospel of proletarian revenge, nor even, primarily, as a means of securing economic justice. I regard it primarily as an adjustment to machine production demanded by considerations of common sense, and calculated to increase the happiness, not only of proletarians, but of all except a tiny minority of the human race.”

Bertrand Russell, In Praise of Idleness and Other Essays
