I hate to rain on your parademing102April 29 2006, 07:00:21 UTC
I often rage against prices dictated by other countries, especially when their citizens get a better deal. Britain once ruled over three quarters of the globe and we have watched as international agreements have left us 'gutted' and left as the poor relation. Every country needs to be grateful for their neighbours in the main and try to put up with their different ways. In Europe we are often grateful to America and yet often hate her, but here are two more facts. 1. America is the new Empire because after WW2 your government threatened to let Britain starve if we didn't hand over the trade access to our Empire to make yours. Your president's advisor was famous for hating the British and the President went on record to say it was the worst thing he ever did. 2. The same quantity of petrol in the UK cost about 10 dollars (£5.50). The problems always lie within your borders, not overseas.
