A couple of weeks ago, Rent Guy, in his ‘Infinite Wisdom’, decided to get more download capacity from his Internet Provider, and so, instead of paying for a possible upgrade, he saw what appeared to be a better deal with another company, so he changed from Optus to Telstra….so far, well and good….more-or-less….

So….

He doesn’t tell me anything

See this is a prime example of the first law of engineering in operation: "if something is working then leave it alone

Yep, I've always been a form believer of the old adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" myself :-)

I've looked online and sent Rent Guy the results from a comparison from I Select, so he can look at that and decide from there if he likes, but, knowing him, he'll probably just either get me to do another like Search on his behalf, or will just go with whoever he was going to go with anyway, which of course is more likely :-/

Main issue with the current one - the Vodaphone one - is, aside from the very reduced capacity (8G rather than 120G pm), it tends to turn itself off if the main person - i.e. Rent Guy - isn't using it

In other words....once it's on it will generally stay on while someone, be it he or me, is using it, but, if neither of us are using it, it turns itself off....which of course also means that if Rent Guy decides to go out or go to sleep, I have to wait for him to be available to get access again :-(
