That was ... wow, really really tense, even though I've seen "A Study in Pink," of course. Scary and so well written - I continue to love this story!

I definitely wanted to up the stakes in my version of this scene. In the original, nothing was keeping Sherlock there, Hope didn't really have any hold over him. I wanted to make it more intense - make Hope an actual threat. :)

Yes, there will be more to tie on a pretty bow. One more chapter and an epilogue. Then I'm going to take a bit of a break to work on the next story in the series for awhile. :)

I'm glad you're still liking this. For myself, I'm just feeling relieved that I'm finally, almost, done. ;) I've never written anything like this in my whole life. :)

This chapter was awesome. I loved the logic of the argument, a lot more than that of the series actually. That always seemed a bit too easy, though it made sense in a way. And John, getting his powers back and then turning the sword in a gun, genius. Well done! I'm always looking forward for more. Hugs

Some people really liked the whole 'Sherlock is so messed up, he actually is tempted' choice, but I always found that a bit too hard to swallow. I also wanted Hope to be an actual threat and to actually be a genius like Sherlock, rather than just brag about it. :)

And John, well, yeah, I'm looking forward to telling more about what's up with him. ;)

Yay! You're back, this was incredibly briliant and beautiful. The tension between knowing how much John cares for Sherlock and Hope's words was so good. I kept wanting to go, no! John is your friend! Death pills are bad! Good for you John, way to be.

Your story has given me a joy. A super huge joy.
