Well I am glad the baby was ok. What a scare and hassle, I hate ER's

How much blood was there, and are you sure it was coming from your vagina and not your bladder? Was it bright red and continued to flow for several hours? Or was it pink and/or brown? What were you doing in the hours beforehand, and did you experience any cramping and/or have sex in the hours before?
Estimating blood loss is hard because it's mixed with fluid and mucous, but consider that the average woman loses 1oz during the entire flow of her period, so when you see a show of blood like that it's usually just about a 1/2 teaspoon or less unless it's a constant flow.

It was vaginal bleeding. Fresh coloured blood, and flow went on for hours. It did stop during the later evening until I woke this morning but the colour was a light to medium brown.

Yesterday early morning I had sex, then later that morning/early afternoon, I did some furniture lifting, bending over, (pretty much rearraging Naima's bedroom, on my own).
I took a nap that lasted for 1 or 2hrs, with the urge of urination and that is when I noticed my bleeding.

I got the ultrasound appointment set for tomorrow morning. So we shall see what they say.

Also, today's flow has a mild cramping, but getting a bit harder towards this afternoon. Not severe, more like a discomfort.

If baby is doing okay that can be one of several things, only one of which is a real 'risk' (complete previa, or vasa previa) although I seriously doubt that's it because you would have seen it before now. If it's low lying placenta, don't let them bully you into being scared to death as almost all cases of LLP correct in time as the uterus grows :) Hope your ultrasound goes well!!

and yeah the ER does that with ultrasounds. They had me leave the hospital when they were 98% sure I had an ectopic pregnancy. They told me I couldn't take anything for the pain so I could feel if it got worse and that they'd call me in the morning for an ultrasound and probably surgery.

SCARY!

I still think the bleeding was from sex the night before :)

I guess I should take it easy ... Sex the night before AND the next morning is a bad combo, lol!
