If its still a 1.9 diesel of Peugeot origin,it will the front top auxillary belt idler,they revised the design last year as the relacement and orginals were failing and running at an angle causing the belt to ride over the pulleys and into the camshaft belt,and a loud squealing and thrashing sound and the engines timing (if you were lucky) would be retarded and it would sound like a tractor and pump white smoke out or bend all the valves and break the fuel pump,the idiot garage near to me kept fitting the faulty part till it stripped the engine and fitted the revised triple brearing one (which is also larger than the orginal and looks like it wont fit ,but it does) and since its been fine,though I know the Ford 1.8 also has a similar problem,which was co-designed with Peugeot,Renault also have issues belt and pulley wise on the 1.9dci and did a crafty free upgrade on the 36,000 mile sevice and kept it quiet (or so they thought) I only know as a workmate has a new shape megane (shaking ass one) and we discussed it in great depth stuck
