I agree about the Duffy thing. The worst part is she DROPPED OUT of my Brother's course at Chester to get famous. GRRR!

I'm not sure any of the contestants in X-factor actually count as musicians. I mean, can they read music? Do they play an instrument? I feel a little sorry for them because they're going to have their "music" careers controlled every step of the way by their managers, they're going to become immediately famous, and then a year or so later they're going to be immediately plunged into obscurity to make way for the next big thing.

Personally I find Madonna refreshing purely because she seems to have a personality, which puts her way ahead of most pop stars in my book. (But yes, I do agree with you about the ego thing.)
