OOh this is prefect. I can easily see broken ribbed, sleep deprived Sam slowly getting himself dressed. And I am so glad that you brought the girl back in. I really think the show forgot about her but we did need to see her one more time :) loved Dean and how worried and protective he was of his little bro.

I am glad - I always enjoy your fic :) And there was so much goodness in that episode, which is why I was so surprised there wasn't much in the way of Sam comfort fic out there. All those little things like Sammy's broken rib and hurt hand, his hurt fingers, Dean actually telling people about Bobby's death in order to try to get Sam help (very crucial, IMO, since prior to this Dean didn't want to tell anyone but he did it for his brother), Bobby's ghost helping Dean find someone to help... so much goodness. And even Dean putting getting his brother help way above Cas :) I only wish there had been more Dean and Sam time in the episode. Sammy didn't even get a hug, loL!!

IKR? We definitely needed more Dean and Sam interaction in this episode, but my fangirl squee was still satisfied by all of the tortured!Sam in it. :)

Lovely! Sam never gets enough credit for his amazing strength of character (especially from Sam himself) though he deserves it. I hope Sam did tell Dean about his hunt at some point because Dean deserves to know just how awesome his baby brother is ;)

Love it! I'm glad you had the interaction with Merrin as well. It's pretty cool that Sam was on deaths door and still willing to help others. But most of all? Dean sees the struggle that Sam went through

I do like how you finished off the episode by getting Sam out of the hospital, and the closure with Marin, and this:

"Sam had seemed resigned to die, but he was far stronger than he gave himself credit for and far stronger than Dean had ever given him credit for either."

Yes--but it's true in reverse as well!
