Hmm. Yeah. I'm often a little amazed at the bizarro (and sometimes downright thoughtless) icon choices folks make. I realize it's just a small, square photo, but if it's obviously against the grain of a post, (be it the scenario you shared, or an obviously flip attitude when someone is hurting) I find myself thinking, "Huh. Really? Suaaaave."

Incidentally, how folks can use an 'icon randomizer' is completely beyond me.

EXACTLY.

For example, I have some Sam/Dean hootchie icons. I would NEVER use them in the LJ of someone who'd been an incest victim. Yeah, they're fictional characters, but come on people....
