I am definitely interested in being as self-sufficient as possible. To my knowledge, Chevrat Hachashmal is a monopoly. They need to inspect and give you permission for any energy source, solar and wind energy included. And, from what I've heard, they never approve it.
Israel makes it really hard to do things that are good for the environment. Any idea where to recycle aluminum and randomly sized glass and plastic?
