Why do people want to have kids?

I got together with some irreligious "1 boy 1 girl, raised by nannies, nice house in the suburbs 2 car family" relatives the other day and we had a good time, but afterward they commented to my father that they don't understand why I want to have kids already, what the draw is for me.

Waking up to this cute little face right here. When she hits you with a flying tackle hug and says "You're the best mommy in the whole world!" Listening to her sing the Alef-Beis song in the bathtub. The way she sticks her tongue out of the corner of her mouth when she's thinking really hard about something. The smell of her hair when she's been out playing in the sunshine. She's the reason I get out of bed in the morning, and being a role model for her makes me a better person.
