That was one of the saddest, bleakest things I've ever read :(
The awful thing is that if Brendan doesn't get help, and Stephen gets worn down once too often, that's where they could end up.
Beautifully written, very vivid. Luckily I'm a glutton for angst...

The saddest part of this is that you can see it happening. So beautifully written; but so awful at the same time. That spark that makes Ste who he is - gone. That would be terrible; but yes. That's what would happen. Oh, Ste.

You've captured Brendan and his despair so well. In this relationship I get the impression that Brendan's as trapped as Ste is, being in love with a boy that he just can't seem to stop destroying. It's a painful thing to read but I adore it anyway. Well done.

I totally think that every time Brendan hurts Ste now, he's actually hurting himself. He loves him and every time he lashes out, I like to hope it actually effects him in some way.

This was so painful to read - I felt a real ache - but it's a testament to your great writing. I do not wish to see this on screen though :D it would hurt too much!
