So according to hopemcg, LJ is cool again. I think my humor-meter was broken when I read that FB post from her, so I'm not really sure whether she was being sarcastic/humorous and/or just trying to say that she had made an LJ post and wanted people to read it. ;) But in any case, here I am once again saying that I intend to start posting on LJ again! It really is quite impressively cold outside. I think Squiggle's preschool probably won't go out either, and in theory they go outside in pretty much all weather.

Also I love LJ, and am glad you are posting here again! (And yes, lots of people do seem to be posting to LJ much more these days, which I hope very much continues).

It might not actually be cool again, but a bunch of my friends have vowed to start posting again and really have. It has been nice, despite my personal hatred of writing sentences.

Well, I love writing sentences! :) I write long LJ entries in my head ALL the time. I just so rarely manage to actually type them and post.

Sorry things didn't go entirely smoothly for you yesterday! It IS cold. Too cold. I know there are plenty of places north of us, and I'm super glad not to live in any of them.

I've been having "stomachaches" too, which I partially attribute to the fact that I clench my diaphragm when I'm cold, and that's been happening a lot lately, and it makes my entire abdomen feel off. Maybe that's what's going on with Ruthie? Worth asking, anyway.

Thanks! Interesting theory about the stomach-clenching. I shall have to try to ask her about it. I don't think I do that, myself; I tense my shoulders when I'm cold, and definitely notice that strain after a while.

I really enjoy reading the day to day stuff from the past too, and I know I'll be upset at myself going back over the past couple of years when I haven't been writing as much here. I keep vowing to come back and write more frequently, we'll see when/if that actually happens.

Caspian seems to think that every single tiny discomfort is SUPER PAINFUL, so when he complains about something, I end up thinking it's no big thing. Usually I'm right, but not always. It's so hard to figure out which is which!

Ruthie isn't really like that about pain. But the problem with "my stomach hurts" is that it's so vague and could be SO many things. I mean, it could be hunger, she could need to poop or fart, stomach flu, appendicitis........and then of course there are all the non-physical possibilities, like anxiety or attention-seeking etc.
