More on Isaac and dealing

I posted the other day that I had decided to contact Isaac's teacher and guidance counselor for help dealing with Isaac's feelings about grandma having cancer. Thanks. And yes, I can remember that phase too -- lying awake at night obsessing about death. I think I was older than 6/7, but I could be wrong about that. So I figure there isn't a whole lot I can do except answer his questions honestly and let him work through it, at least when it comes to the more abstract topic of death. But about his grandma in particular, I wish I could do more to help him not be so worried about her. Hopefully, once chemo is over, he'll see things get back to normal and it'll make him feel better.

I'm glad they've suggested some resources.

And how are *you* holding up? Thinking of you bursting into tears reading the note makes me worry that it's not just being stressed about how Isaac is coping, but being full of worry about your mom.
