Not this past weekend, but the one before, we went to IKEA. It was my and the kids' first time ever in an IKEA, and it was everything you always hear it is

I got Zoe the Kura. And we painted the panels-facing-out with magnetic & chalkboard paint. The panels-facing-in we put the stick-on chalkboard stuff (like shelf paper).
awesome! I heart Ikea stuff. I've bought several things there and found them all quite durable (I don't know what people do to their Ikea stuff that they say it's not). The only issue is that it doesn't always hold up well to being moved, but I think the furniture would do fine if you're careful. I'm looking forward to pics. What an exciting process for you and the kids :-) they may be growing up some, but at least they still are having fun being kid like. I wish I had a bed tent!
I'm seriously considering that bed for when Hootie gets a bit older. We've got low ceilings here but I remember how much I envied all my friends with bunk beds so something like a short loft would be perfect.
That loft bed looks promising for Hannah's room. Do you know what amount of weight it's rated for (Hannah likes having one of us with her while she falls asleep)? I checked the website and it gives dimensions but not the max weight capacity. Thanks!

Anyway, me plus Ruthie probably comes right up to 200 pounds, or very near it!
Of course, it also says not to let kids under 6 on the top bunk, which Isaac reminds Ruthie of every time she climbs up there. ;)
