"the emotional range of your oracle."

OMG THIS ARTICLE.

I remember talking about this exact subject years ago (albeit less intelligently and with probably more swearing) when I noticed that the uber-gawth Vampire deck I owned would, without fail, recommend the harshest possible course of action for any problem. So, you know, if you wanted to curse someone it was the deck to ask.

One of my decks (the Mythic Tarot) used to be so mean to a friend of mine. It would tell him exactly what kind of an asshole he was being, and why everything was his own fault, and how to fix it. Funny, it wasn't that nasty to anyone else.

That so weird that it was only to the one person. Any ideas why?

He didn't listen until someone hit him over the head. He knew it, too. Every time he had a question he really needed an honest answer to, he'd pick that deck. That deck was always one of the more aware-seeming ones, and very much in tune with me.

i had a similar experience, also with a vampire deck. i called it my "reality check deck" because it let you know in no uncertain terms exactly what was going on and how it would get you in the ass.

Which is always useful to know.

it is, but it could have been a little less sledgehammer-y, haha.
