Wow, I've not posted anything on quite some time.

Spending most of my time reading Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Harry Potter, Charmed, Star Wars and StarGate fanfics on Twisting the Hellmouth and Fanfiction.net these days.

As of today, I'm half way through my 6 month term as a member of the Wake County Tuesday Grand Jury.  It also means 9 members of the Jury completed their service today.  When we meet again on July 10th we'll get off to a late start hearing cases while their replacements go through orientation and then we all get sworn in again ( Read more... )

I had Jury Duty this morning.  The last time I was called up was about 8 years ago and I was one of the initial people selected to sit on a civil trial, only to be dismissed by the defense and told that I could go home after I got back to the Jury lounge.  I was expecting pretty much the same thing to happen this time around ( Read more... )

I can't say how happy I am that Duke is out of the ACC tournament this year.  I know they're having a 'rebuilding year', but as long as those smug bastards are out of the tourney, I'm happy.  The fact that it was the NCSU Wolfpack that knocked them out just made it more of a satisfying victory for me.
