While I'm sure they knew a thing or two about a thing or two, whoever said, "Nobody can ride your back if your back's not bent," either never spent much time with a 3-5 year old, or completely disregarded their climbing ability. So true: little ones are climbers! I really get a sense from this of what these particular kids are like and what your relationship is with them.

They are! Especially between 3 and 5, they just have to climb EVERYTHING, especially people. Thanks for reading!

I'm constantly having to tell KFP to get down off of the arms of the couch, although he hasn't gotten up on the coffee table since he had a scary fall a couple months ago. Fortunately, he wasn't seriously hurt (or even bruised). Thank goodness they bounce! ;)

Quite so! Truth be told, this is a composite of several different kids, and quite a few different bedtime routines, that all ended the night in the same or similar fashions. Every time it is very very gratisfying.
